We strive to provide information and advice you cannot find anywhere else on the net.  As a result of many years of experience in this field we have developed quite an informative site.  We have on this website information and resources you cannot ordinarily gather from reading books or other publications. Much of our experience which is reflected in our service is based on our many years experience interacting with international students some of whom are on our staff.

The information you will find on this site is direct and to the point and things are clearly explained. We are more concerned with quality than quantity.

As we enter the new millennium, we will continue to keep pace with new technology, new laws {immigration law as it affects international students} and new opportunities. This website will continue to evolve with new opportunities and new ideas as we continue in our relentless endeavor to provide the most effective, direct and useful information and resources to you.

If you are absolutely committed to the idea of studying overseas, and have the academic credentials and willingness to learn, your chances of achieving your goals are good. Studying in a country other than your own can be one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences.

You are most likely to be successful in any endeavor you undertake when you are fully informed and prepared. Our mission is to make you successful.

International students face closer government scrutiny

New laws affecting the status, monitoring and tracking of international students across American colleges and universities are now in effect.

Part of the new law includes the creation of a national student tracking system, a delay in obtaining visas to travel outside the U.S. and special registration, fingerprints, interviews and photographs for certain foreign nationals at local INS offices across the country.

International students must now follow the strict rules laid down by the government or risk falling out of status since it has become much easier to fall out of status.

From January 30, 2003 all international students now have information about their address, funding, and registration status reported to the INS using the new student tracking system; Student Exchange Visitor Information System 'SEVIS'. All reporting to the INS is in 'real-time'.

The data that must be reported includes: Academic admission, Student's personal information, Deferral of admission, Financial information, Disciplinary action against student, Program extension, Drop below full course of study, Optional practical training employment, Off-Campus employment, Premature termination of studies, Completion of Studies, among others.

(SEVIS) is an Internet-based system that provides tracking and monitoring functionality, with access to accurate and current information on nonimmigrant students (F and M visa) and exchange visitors (J visa), and their dependents (F-2, M-2, and J-2).

SEVIS enables schools and program sponsors to transmit electronic information and event notifications, via the Internet, to the INS and Department of State throughout a student's or exchange visitor's stay in the United States.

SEVIS will be informed of status events for international students and exchange visitors including, but not limited to, entry/exit data, changes of address, program extensions, employment notifications, and changes in program of study.

SEVIS also provides system alerts, event notifications, and reports to the end-user schools and programs, as well as for INS offices.
